Recommendation from Rita Demarmels

I'm Rita and be part of the Eiger Team already almost 20 years. You will find me mostly in the morning on the breakfast service or by the evening dinner in the Galleria, although I gave you for sure already a tip for your day organisation. One of my favourite hiking tours leads from Bussalp to Bort. The bus drives you to Bussalp, from this point on leads a splendid and quiet way, first of all above the forrest limit (with fantastic view to the Eiger-Northface!) and afterwards through the forrest down, to Bort. The calmness and the straight available nature sensibilise your senses! Hear the crunch from the snow underneath your shoes, feel the fresh winter air on your face and let your roof of the mouth by Rasthysi - a tiny small "snack corner" on the wayside - pampers you. And once again an insider tip: The "Chai Latte" on Bort tastes excellent!
I wish you lots of fun on this winterly sense-experience-tour!
