From September 11–13, 2026, Grindelwald will host the 1st Federal Youth Yodeling Festival. Children and young people from all over Switzerland will come together to showcase their skills in the traditional disciplines of yodeling, alphorn and Büchel playing, and flag throwing.

On Saturday, September 12, Grindelwald’s village street will transform into a lively yodeling mile. In addition to performances by the young participants, visitors can look forward to a varied programme of music, Swiss traditions, and encounters right in the heart of the village.

Road closure: On Saturday 12 September 2026 between 9 am and 5 pm, Dorfstrasse between Bärplatz and the church will be closed to traffic during the day.
