Hotel Eiger Grindelwald: Selfness becomes Mountain & Soul
How do you light-footedly combine the physically active aspect with mental coaching? The Eiger Selfness Hotel shows the way and repositions itself under the name Eiger Mountain & Soul Resort.
After 15 years, the house at Dorfstrasse 133 in Grindelwald is changing its bell sign. “The term “selfness” was not properly understood by the majority of guests and thus was not able to establish itself,” explains owner Gisela Heller. While the idea of selfness in the sense of “being oneself” continues to be lived out internally, the four-star hotel is celebrating its new appearance externally as the Eiger Mountain & Soul Resort. Mountain & Soul” stands for the experience of “me time” or time for two in connection with experiences in nature or activities in the wellness and fitness area. The latter is given the name “Eiger Spa – Fitness & Soul” at the same time.
New slogan
The new slogan “Me, You & Nature” also fits in with this. “We are convinced that people need time out from everyday life to recharge their batteries,” says Gisela Heller. The repositioning brings further advantages: the logo only had to be adapted minimally. And her husband Daniel adds: “Since we also offer flats, chalets, restaurant, bar, fitness and wellness in addition to the hotel rooms and suites, the term “resort” suits us much better.
Valuable continuity
In the future, the selfness philosophy will continue to be lived and cultivated both internally and externally. Internally, the focus is on continuous team development with the promotion of emotional and communicative skills. Externally, “being oneself” resonates in the extensive range of courses including coaching, personal training, outdoor activities and also in the wellness and fitness area.
About the resort
The Eiger Mountain & Soul Resort offers an oasis in a prime location in Grindelwald. The focus is on people: me-time, togetherness and experiences in nature according to the motto “Me, You & Nature”. Here people find space for an active time-out outside their everyday life: On the one hand, outdoors away from the classic hiking routes.
