How do I find the Eiger Mountain & Soul Resort?
Many roads lead to Grindelwald! Grindelwald is a well-known winter and summer resort in the Bernese Oberland, located at 1,000 metres above sea level. The fascinating mountain world around the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau, as well as the wide range of sporting activities on offer, are what make our village so special. What if I arrive late?
From what time can I use the room?
Your room will be available from 3 pm on the day of arrival. Earlier check-in is subject to availability.
Where can I park my car?
We have a limited number of outdoor parking spaces available for CHF 5 per night (subject to availability and cannot be reserved) and a garage available for CHF 15 per night. We recommend booking the garage in advance, subject to availability, via . We offer two electric charging points in the garage; charging costs CHF 10 – please book in good time.
Does the resort offer a shuttle service?
We are happy to collect our guests from the station during reception opening hours, from 7 am to 10 pm. Please contact us by phone or email us in good time at resort@eiger-grindelwald.chat .

Is there a laundry service available?
- Laundry service at the resort: We are happy to do your laundry for you (processing time approx. 48 hours, subject to a fee).
- Self-service: A washing machine and tumble dryer are also available for your use at the resort (Building 2), Chalet Eigersunna and Eiger Guest House (for a fee).
- For CHF 1, you can get a laundry token from reception – so you no longer need to worry about washing powder.
If you have any questions or need help with arrangements, we’re always happy to assist you at reception.
Spa
Is there an age restriction in the spa area?
The fitness and wellness area is open to guests aged 16 and over.
Is the Eiger Spa also open to external guests?
The Eiger Spa – Fitness & Soul is also open to external guests.
Fitness entry CHF 30 | Fitness and Sauna CHF 40 (free for hotel guests).
What are the opening hours of the spa area?
The fitness area is open daily from 7 am to 9 pm. The sauna area is open daily from 4 pm to 9 pm in summer and from 2 pm to 9 pm in winter (earlier access is available at any time upon request).
Guests aged 16 and over may use the sauna area.
Location/Facilities
Do the rooms have air conditioning?
Our hotel rooms and chalets are not air-conditioned. A fan is available.
Is there a lift in the hotel?
Building 1 and Building 2 each have a lift. The two buildings are connected by a few steps. Click here to view our resort map.
How far is the hotel from the ski lifts?
The hotel is located in the village centre, about a 5-minute walk from the Firstbahn cable car and within easy reach of ski slopes and numerous hiking trails. A bus stop is just a few minutes’ walk away.
Booking / Price
Is it possible to have an extra bed / baby cot in my room?
An extra bed is generally available, but not in all room categories – please contact us.
A baby cot (for children under 2 years old) is free of charge. Please mention when booking that you require a baby cot.
Are pets allowed at the resort?
Dogs are welcome here and are permitted in all our rooms and at Barry’s Restaurant. Restrictions apply in the wellness area. There is a surcharge of CHF 25 per dog per night.
Please let us know when booking if you’ll be bringing your four-legged friend.
How can I change or cancel an existing booking?
Guests who book directly can cancel or rebook their reservation free of charge up to 3 days before arrival.
For bookings at Eiger Guest House and Chalet Eigersunna, free cancellation is possible up to 14 days in advance.

Food & Drink
Is room service available?
We are happy to offer room service for CHF 10 from our Barrys Lounge menu (excluding fondues).
Where can I eat at the resort?
At Barrys Restaurant, Bar & Lounge, as a guest of the Eiger Hotel, you’ll receive a 10% discount on food. You can book a table in the lounge on the ground floor or in the restaurant on the second floor. For a light evening snack, Barry’s Bar also offers a snack menu. You can find the opening hours and à la carte menus for each restaurant on the website.
What does the breakfast buffet include?
We offer a continental breakfast buffet featuring a variety of breads, a selection of muesli, various egg dishes, fresh fruit, a selection of regional cheeses, and a wide range of cold meats and sausages. The drinks menu includes a range of coffee drinks, fruit juices and teas. We also have a breakfast menu that changes daily – let us surprise you!
